MSL Code

First things first. If you want to change (or tweak) anything internally on the modem you need something called the "MSL Code" (sometimes called SPC). This is a six-digit number you get from your provider. It is unique to your account. Just call your tech support number and ask for it. Its yours...you paid for it. You may have to tell them you want to check the signal to the tower. Be persistent. Not all connection managers require this.
